I was an hour late to my appointment with the dCOM (District Committee on Ordained Ministry) this morning.  Not that I didn't have a good excuse ...er ... if there IS a good excuse to keep the dCOM waiting, that is!

Somehow, when daylight savings started back up, some of my appointments in Windows Mobile 6.1 got changed.  The weird thing is that it wasn't all of them.  A week or so ago I had a chiropractor appointment show up an hour later than it actually was, and Monday i thought my appointment with the dCOM was at 11 am.  Ooops, it was realy at 10 am!

I was on a service call (still doing the computer geek thing on the side to pay bills) at a medical facility in Chester, SC installing VOIP conference equipment when i got a call from my mentor wondering where I was.  So I high-talied it up to Rock Hill for my meeting.  They rushed through my meeting in like 5 minutes.  I think they were all eager to get to lunch!

On another note, there are some big changes coming in the Reavis family.  I'm not at liberty to divulge what those are (they aren't final, yet), but do us a favor and save your good boxes.  We'll be needing lots of them soon.

Peace,

Ray

 About Ray

My name is Ray Reavis, and I pastor three United Methodist congregations in western York County, South Carolina:  New Zion UMC in Smyrna, Shady Grove UMC in Sharon, and Sharon UMC in Sharon.  My wife Vicki and I have three kids.

I am a little new as a pastor, but not so new to the ministry.  I say that because I believe that all Christians are called to minister to others, not just those of us set apart for preaching in the pulpit.  I was first appointed to New Zion and Shady Grove in June 2008.  Sharon UMC was added to my charge in June 2009.  I'm praying that a fourth won't be added in June 2010 because I have plenty to do where I am!

Blessings,

Ray
